• Altoist Ernie Henry died tragically young in 1957 and these were his last recordings, cut while he was a member of Dizzy Gillespie’s band.

• Selected from the posthumously released LP "Last Chorus" are octet tracks with Lee Morgan (trumpet), Melba Liston (trombone), Benny Golson (tenor sax), Cecil Payne (baritone sax), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), Philly Joe Jones (drums). The tune Stablemates from the same session is included here but didn't appear on the original album. Coupled with this is the complete quartet record, "Seven Standards and a Blues".
