• These sensational recordings of Stan Getz at the famous jazz club ‘Harlem’ in Nalen, Stockholm in 1959, have been lost for 52 years. Luckily, the tapes were found in the spring of 2011.

• Getz is at his very peak here - together with the late great Swedish pianist Jan Johansson, American bass player Daniel Jordan and the Danish drum-virtuoso William Shiöpffe - playing a fine selection of jazz classics and standards.

• These tracks were recorded at two separate concerts, and all the guys are playing at the top of their game. If you're a Getz fan this world class record is a must.

• Given the recording technology available at the time, and the live setting, the sound quality is excellent.

• Getz’s wife was Swedish and the lived in Copenhagen for a number of years, which is why he often performed in Sweden, especially in Nalen.
