• Lux Borea (The light from the North) is an ensemble with flexible instrumental settings but concentrating very much on the recorder. The repertoire spans from 1600 until the early 1800’s. However the main emphasis lies with music from the 18th century, with Johann Ulich (1677-1742) being the perfect example from that period. Born in central Germany, Ulich worked as an organist and court musician with his compositional work concentrated around very specific dates. His cantatas were written in 1711 and 1712, whilst all his keyboard works were composed in 1713.
