• Azure Blue is a new project led by talented Swedish songwriter Tobias Isaksson, who has been active on the pop/rock scene there for several years. On ‘Rule of Thirds’, he has a highly listenable pop album, which draws heavily from the New Wave and New Romantic styles of the early 1980s, and the heyday of Factory Records.

• The tracks, all composed by Isaksson, have an autobiographical feel, and using analogue drum machines and vintage synths, his musical references range from New Order, and Depeche Mode to The Go-Betweens and The Cure. A sparkling, catchy, melodic album.
