• Two fine albums Peggy Lee made at the peak of her career : Blues Cross Country (1961) and If You Go - both recorded in 1961 with orchestras arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones, and both originally released on Capitol.
• On these tracks she is surrounded by the cream of Hollywood studio and jazz musicians, including : Jack Sheldon, Pete Candoli, Al Porcino, Frank Rosolino, Benny Carter, Buddy Collette, Plas Johnson, Bill Perkins, Jack Nimitz, Jimmy Rowles, Frank Strazzeri, Stan Levey, Ted Nash, Victor Feldman, Shelly Manne, and many others.
• Seven of the songs on ‘Blues Cross Country’ are composed by Lee; and they show her in a many-hued blues mood - sad, happy, wistful, celebratory and always swinging. On If You Go, she pours her wonderful voice like pure honey into warmly romantic and husky performances of soft, moody ballads. Quincy Jones brings his considerable arranging skills to the table throughout both albums (except one track arranged by Benny Carter).
• 2 albums on one CD - 25 tracks - 24 Bit Digitally Remastered.
