• This 2CD set contains material recorded by Stan Getz in the Kildevang Church in Copenhagen, on the 14th & 15th of January 1960. They recorded the same tunes in the evening at the Cafe Montmartre club.
• Getz had settled in Copenhagen in 1958 and stayed for 3 years. He played regularly at the Cafe Montmartre with the great pianist Jan Johansson, plus Dan Jordan (b) and William Schiøpffe (dr), as he does here.
• Getz, in fine form, presents 17 tracks (over 100 mins playing time) mainly standards by composers including : Cole Porter, Rogers & Hammerstein, Kern, Mandel, Torme, Arlen, Brubeck, Gordon Jenkins - plus Café Montmartre Blues" by Oscar Pettiford, who also lived in Copenhagen at the time.
