Reviews For Way Back Home - Live Rochester NY (CD & 2DVD)
Jazzwise - Andy Robson
LIVE REVIEW: the band are so familiar with the music, they're playing with a verve that belies their many shared decades in the business! & What's satisfying about this band isn't the flash and strut they could easily resort to. Instead there's a restraint, a relxaed relish for the groove.
The Jazz Rag - Ron Simpson
Gadd has surrounded himself with seasoned musicians who can turn their hands to most things and the result is full of mature assurance, always accessible but never predictable. Gadd is all dynamic control and military precise.
R2 - Trevor Hodgett
Gadd is on of the most admired drummers in history. His playing is characteristically, never flashy, generally unobtrusive and always perfect for the song. ****
