‘Superheroes Crash’ is the second album from French duo OMR, released on the enigmatic label Uncivilized World (UWE).

The sound has a musical resonance of something from the early eighties, updated by an awareness of the techniques and influences of electro; dark undertones using synth, guitar and bass to provide a disturbing backdrop to the vocals, expressing something of desperate urgency. The banjo on the first track ‘Captive in the height of summer’ brilliantly enhances the effect, evoking memories of the film ‘Deliverance’.

This album has an inner strength which should carry it into exposure to a wider audience. It merits this.
