Price £8.99
Billed as a Jazz at the Philharmonic performance, this concert, recorded in Stockholm in April 1957, consists of two intimate sets: the first (6 tracks) showcases Roy Eldridge leading an All Star sextet : Oscar Peterson (p), Herb Ellis (g), Ray Brown (b), Jo Jones (d), Stuff Smith (vl) & Donald Abney (p); while the second part of the concert (10 tracks) is the Ella Fitzgerald set, with just a rhythm section.

The concert was organised by Norman Granz who provides the introductory and closing announcements. Highlights include Ellaís powerful renditions of such classics as "Angel Eyes", "Lullaby of Birdland" and "Love for Sale". The final number, a vigorous version of "It Don't Mean a Thing", brings Roy Eldridge and Stuff Smith back on stage. Stuff Smith, Don Abney, Herb Ellis and Roy Eldridge perform solos.
