· Rare radio broadcast recordings that complete the output of the renowned Miles Davis Sextet, including outstanding improvisations by Miles, Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley and Bill Evans.

· This release contains all of the existing live recordings of the celebrated Miles Davis Sextet with the exception of the well-known concerts at the Plaza Hotel and the Newport Jazz Festival.

· The sessions on this disc took place at : Café Bohemia, New York, May 17, 1958; Spotlight Lounge, Washington D.C., June 30, 1958, and November 1, 1958; and Birdland, New York, January 3, 1959. Other musicians involved were : Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones & Jimmy Cobb.

· The two later sessions occurred immediately prior to the sessions for the classic album “Kind of Blue”.
